Yesterday, Pusha T debuted his highly anticipated collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, titled “Nosetalgia,” to extremely positive reviews. The veteran rapper discussed how he and the Compton native connected in a recent interview with MTV.

Describing the TDE artists as a “young lyricist,” Pusha Ton explained that he’d asked the MC for the feature some time ago. “I felt it was really dope that Kendrick hopped in my world of street life and his perspective on it,” said one half of the Clipse.

“Once I heard his verse I was like, ok, he’s giving me the project windows or how it affected my home. So I was like, ok, boom, I gotta give the perspective of where I was at at the time.”
