What took so long? YouTube is having a music awards show in November and its inaugural headliners will be Eminem, Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire.
The YouTube Music Awards will go down at Pier 36 in New York City on Sunday, November 3, 2013. Actor Jason Schwartzman will serves as the night’s host while the nominees will be announced on Oct. 17. The same day that the nominees are revealed is when users will be able to vote to decide who wins.
The venue will be familiar to Slim Shady as it is the same location where he performed at the G-Shock 30th anniversary party back in August.
YouTube is owned by Google, which has offices in NYC. The YouTube Music Awards are presented by KIA and will feature performances from Seoul, Moscow, London and Rio. As you should have expected, the YouTube Music Awards will be streaming live and touts that artists will be creating new music videos on the fly.
