A day after announcing a release date, of sorts, for Blue Chips 2, Action Bronson premiered two songs from the project at a Toronto show. As you’d expect, both were heavily influenced by classic, boom-bap rap.

The first track dons an interpolation of Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason” and the second samples The Champ’s “Tequila,” popularized by the infamous bar scene in Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure. In the moment, Bronsolino even did his own variation of the former television personality’s dance, so you know it’s real.

As far as Blue Chips 2 goes, it’s safe to say that fans can expect more cinematic rhymes from the Queens-bred lyricist. If there’s any validity to Bronson’s aforementioned announcement, the project will drop on the first rainy day in November.

Hear the pair of new cuts below.
