Even more details are emerging about the fleet of motorcyclists that attacked a man, his wife and 2-year-old in his Range Rover in New York City last week. Reportedly as many as six of the bikers that witnessed and chased the SUV were cops while a total of three men have been charged, so far. 

According to DNA Info New York, the Internal Affairs department of the NYPD is investigating whether or not six of the bikers in the motorcade that chased the Range Rover Alexian Lien was driving, with his wife and daughter in the vehicle, up the Henry Hudson Parkway on Sunday, Sept. 29 were undercover cops. As previously reported, at least one undercover officer watched and did nothing as the bikers caught up with Lien in Washington Heights and started beating him. In total, Internal affairs is investigation  two detectives, one sergeant and three police officers.

Allegedly, one of the detectives in question was arrested earlier this year for assaulting his girlfriend.

Two more bikers were arraigned over the weekend, with one, Reginald Chance, flipping the bird at photographers in  Manhattan Criminal Court before he even saw the judge, reports the New York Daily News. Chance was seen on camera smashing the window of the Range Rover with his motorcycle helmet. Chance, 37, who was driving with a suspended license, was charged with assault, gang assault and criminal mischief, and bail was set at $75,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

Christopher Cruz, 28, was charged with gang assault earlier in the week and is being pointed to as the sparker of  the incident after he stopped short in front of Lien, which led to the initial confrontation.

The third biker charge was Robert Sims, 35, who surrendered Friday and has been charged with gang assault, felony assault and weapons possession.

As for the man Lien ran over when he sped past the motorcyclist,Edwin Mieses, the aspiring rapper is still hospitalized and is reportedly paralyzed.

According to the New York Post, at least six people assaulted Lien when he was forcibly removed from his vehicle. Witnesses say that some of the bikers attempted to get Lien’s wife and daughter out of the SUV as well. Fortunately, bystanders were able to get the beating to stop.
