Kevin Hart has been growing his brand in major ways via the big and small screen, not to mention selling out venues with his wildly popular comedy act. Today (Oct. 7), it was announced that the diminutive but big-talking comedian will be one of the executive producers for a TV show on ABC based on segments of his stand-up routine.

The Hollywood Reporter had the early reports of the unnamed multi-camera show, which will focus on a recently divorced couple attempting to forge a friendship for the sake of their children. Writing duo Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, best known for Community and Scrubs, will write the script for the half-hour pilot.

Kevin Hart will not star in the show, but could have a possible recurring role if the show gets picked up by the network. Goldman and Donovan are also executive producers for the pilot, joining Hart and his 3 Arts manager, Dave Becky. Hart is currently enjoying success as the executive producer and star of BET’s mockumentary, Real Husbands of Hollywood.

No date has been announced for the pilot.
