One of the most overused and asked questions in Hip-Hop is, Did New York fall off? Brooklyn rapper Maino addresses the issue on “What Happened,” featuring Jadakiss.
2 Much and Sarah J hook up the instrumental and Maino gets right to the point, rapping “New York got soft.” and adding “Man, this sh-t is going crazy, it’ll make you go bananas, why New York got a playlist, look exactly like Atlanta’s.” Kiss tags on a tight third verse while everything is held together by the hook; “What happened to my city, man?”
