If you saw VH1’s biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, you know that the R&B group’s former manager Perri “Pebbles” Reid was thrown under the Greyhound for her allegedly shady and exploitive business practices. The “Mercedes Boy” singer is now demanding VH1 make a retraction about her depiction in the flick.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story featured KeKe Palmer as Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Drew Sidora as Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Lil Mama in a fine performance as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Thanks to scenes where Pebbles refused to grant the group’s request to see their contracts or she demanded T-Boz perform despite her sickle cell anemia, and more, she came off as a cold-blooded pariah. Black Twitter went especially hard with slander aimed at Pebbles for her actions.

Needless to say, music exec LA Reid’s former wife turned preacher is none too happy.

Reports TMZ:

TLC‘s former manager is LIVID over the new VH1 biopic about the 90s girl group — telling TMZ, she was wrongly portrayed as a shyster in the movie … and now she wants the network to make some serious retractions.

Perri “Pebbles” Reid tells us it has taken her more than a week to respond to the movie — which aired last Monday — because she was so shell-shocked by the damning lies in the film. She says, “This unprovoked attack has been extremely upsetting to me and my family.”

But the real issue — she tells us, “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story” contains “many false and defamatory statements and scenes about me.”

According to Pebbles, her attorney is demanding retractions from VH1. In a statement, she claimed to have never cheated TLC, and she will be explaining that, soon.

“My silence has empowered individuals looking for a payday at my expense,” reads part of her statement. “I have held my peace for 20 years and it’s time the truth comes out. I will be sharing my story in the appropriate venue at the appropriate time. With all my heart I thank you for your faithful support.”

Also, there is a website claiming that Pebbles is suing Left Eye for money owed from ’92. However, the poorly sourced story looks very suspect.

Think Pebbles got a raw deal? Let us know in the comments.
