Well, here’s a surprise. The Internets receive a new track from the one and only Vic Mensa.

Yea, the Save Money rapper’s name may be on the track, but it’s fellow Chicago native Tree who you should thank for this audible blessing. The bubbling MC and producer was the latest artist featured on Nah Right’s Heavy Rotation series.

“I lost the actual files for this song ‘Hands,’ so it’s a dirty version,” Tree explained. “It’s horribly recorded and mixed, but it’s Soul Trap, and one of my harder beats.” After listening, it’s apparent that this song wouldn’t appear on a project as we hear it today.

Mensa displays his wizardry with language and diction over a jittery beat built around a sped up vocal sample. Hear more from the Save Money lyricist on his INNANETAPE mixtape.

There’s no word on if “Hands” will eventually land on a project, but you can listen to the record guilt-free below.
