Those too young to recall Ready To Die‘s release have probably never seen such a candid depiction of a MC many consider the GOAT. The short, shot for classic UK television show Diary On Passengers, gives an inside look at the sides of Biggie you only hear about from close friends. It shows him moving through Brookyln, his relationship with his wife Faith Evans, his love for Junior Mafia, and more.

For context, it was shot in 1995 around the time tensions began to flare between East and West Coast MCs. There’s even a scene that shows an encounter between Biggie and another man that could have taken a turn for the worse in a Los Angeles studio.
