Here’s another song from up and coming wordsmith Mike Milan. Titled “Thoughts From The Basement,” this is the New Yorker’s lyrical depiction of the things in the inner sanctum of his mind.
Thoughts from a confused 20-something struggling to come to grips with the perils of love, life, and bubbling success ooze onto the piano driven track. However, he manages to deliver his message with an optimistic tone, rather than one of sadness. Lines detailing Milan’s hopes to sign to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint sound almost like foreshadowing based on confidence alone.
