Timbaland previewed a few unreleased records while serving the DJ at numerous stops of Jay Z‘s Magna Carta World Tour. Today the producer liberates one called “Know Bout Me,” featuring the Brooklyn MC and Drake.
This tune has all the makings of a club favorite. Timbo The King provides a chorus that chants, “What you know ’bout me? What you know ’bout me? Not a motherf**king thing. Not a motherf**king thing,” repeatedly. The Virginia native also rhymes, but it’s Drizzy who, of course, steals the show with a complimenting verse.
We’ll reserve our opinions on whether this a hit for a moment, but we will say that Timbaland trolled everyone by listing Hov as a feature. The Roc Nation CEO simply speaks at the very beginning of the cut; nothing more, nothing less.
Kudos to James Fauntleroy for the ill vocals on the bridge, though. Hear all of this on Timbaland and company’s “Know Bout Me.”
