The Soundtrack Series, a live show and podcast that places a behind-the-scenes focus on music, kicks off a new show this Thursday (Nov. 21) at The Gallery at Le Poisson Rogue. For the upcoming show, some of Hip-Hop top journalists and proponents will share their stories about working within the genre and culture.

Creator and host Dana Rossi and The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip Hop author Dan Charnas will host the evening event. Joining the hosts is a list of industry insiders that will undoubtedly have lots to share with the audience.

Veteran MTV News reporter and host Sway has been one Hip-Hop’s strongest advocates. Sway’s pioneering The Wake Up Show with co-host King Tech was the first rap show to land on pop radio and was later nationally syndicated. Sway still dominates the airwaves with his work with MTV and his popular Sway In The Morning radio show.

Combat Jack seems to have covered all ground working as an executive, attorney and author. With his popular The Combat Jack Show rocking out both on the radio and via Complex TV, he brings a treasure trove of information to any conversation he’s a part of.

Hip-Hop humorists Eric and Jeff Rosenthal of It’s The Real have ticked funny bones while poking silly fun at the culture. The brothers have appeared as hosts on MTV and dropped a mixtape earlier this year hosted by DJ Drama.

Other guests include MC Serch of 3rd Bass, who is about to embark on a new daytime syndicated talk show, Serch. Milk Dee of Audio Two fame will also join discussion, along with legendary A&R Dante Ross. Bill Stephney, Faith Newman, Monica Lynch, and Adam Dubin round out the panel.

The Soundtrack Series: Hip-Hop Edition happens on November 21 at 8:00 p.m. at The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge. For tickets and more information, click here.
