Derrick Rose Injures Right Knee In Bulls’ Loss

NBA fans experienced a scary encounter with déjà vu last night when Derrick Rose left the Chicago Bulls matchup against the Portland Trailblazers late in the third quarter with an injury to his right knee.

In case you’re gasping for air, the left knee was the one with the torn ACL that kept the former MVP sidelined for the entire 2012-2013 NBA season, but the Chicago Bulls aren’t taking their chances this time around.

Reports: ESPN

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose will have an MRI on the knee Saturday in Los Angeles after flying there with the team.

“He has pain and he felt like he couldn’t push off his right knee,” Thibodaux said.

The coach avoided speculating about the injury.

“I’m concerned. Any time anyone goes down, you’re concerned,” he said. “But I don’t want to speculate until we get more information for you guys. We’ll have more [Saturday] for you guys.”

The visiting Bulls eventually fell to the Blazers with a score of 98-95.

D-Rose’s return was widely celebrated within the Hip-Hop community and adidas found a way to capitalize off the movement as well.

We’ll keep you updated on the results of the MRI.
