Like Rich Homie Quan, TeeFlii has had the good fortune of being able to allow the world to hear his talents fresh out of the gate. The Los Angeles singer/songwriter keeps it close to the Hip-Hop world while mastering his lane of actually holding a note. This past summer he found himself on the catchy end of YG’s “Sprung” all the while his own single, “This D” was burning up the radio. (It still is, actually.)
The future is rather bright for the young crooner, seeing that he recently inked a deal with Sha Money XL, LA Reid and Epic Records. As he preps for his retail debut, he’s not above building a buzz with AnnieRUOTAY 3: Who The F**k is Annie, his third installment of seducing a smooth criminal’s muse.
For the unfamiliar, TeeFlii’s sound incorporates the current model that’s been dominating the Western Conference All-Stars such as Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy and Problem–with a rhythm and blues twist. As far as the lyrics go, TeeFlii is a unabashed vocalist with no chill when it comes to being explicit–something that’s missing in today’s R&B which is really closeted pop. Lush and subdued melodies with complex drum rhythms also make up most the LP.
The tape features production from Futuristiks and TeeFlii himself. It may not be appropiate for the upcoming holiday dinner but after the food settles and there’s adult party favors to consume, who knows.
