This morning (Dec. 18), you may have noticed that the #FINDJARULE hashtag is trending. The Queens rapper isn’t lost but it seems like the slander slinging social media entity known as Black Twitter is to blame for some comedy at Ja’s expense.
At 6:59 am today, Ja Rule himself joined in, tweeted, “Who’s looking for me I’m in Ibiza wit my feet up lmao!!! #FINDJARULE.” Actually, Ja will be performing in NYC tonight at BB Kings.
That doesn’t really explain why he’s trending, though. Dig back far enough and it seems to be the result of a Karmaloop #FREAKATHON contest. Spam bots and people simply asking Why is #FINDJARULE trending are also to blame. So most unfortunately no, it’s not because of a Dave Chapelle stand up (see last page).
Nevertheless, the Internets and their Photoshop like programs decided to go buckwild and place the “Put It On Me” rapper in photos with the likes of Dora the Explorer and a snowboard in hilariously awkward positions. There are also the tweets that pretty much say Ja is washed up (there is never any chill on Twitter).
