We regretfully have sad news for Three 6 Mafia fans. Original group member Ricky “Lord Infamous” Dunigan has reportedly died.
The news was pretty sketchy at first, but Hip-Hop DX confirmed the rapper’s death with DJ Paul and Da Mafia 6ix’s publicist Dove Clark. “He did pass away at his mothers house last night in Memphis,” Dove said.”The cause of death is unknown. We’re actually trying to figure out how he died and that is all the information we currently have.”
Three 6 Mafia’s own Gangsta Boo also confirmed her partner in rhyme’s death via Twitter. “Rest in Peace Lord Infamous please respect the family and dear friends during this tragedy,” she tweeted.
Lord Infamous was just 40-years-old. Sadly, he and Three 6 Mafia brethren DJ Paul, Gangsta Boo, Crunchy Black, and Koopsta Knicca recently formed Da Mafia Six. The collectively released a mixtape in November.
