All publicity is good publicity, right? We sure hope so, as former Roc-A-Fella rapper and East New York native Uncle Murda was recently spotted in a local pawn shop commercial.
Yes, you read that right. The rapper served as a spokesperson for Pawn Rite, which has five locations throughout Brooklyn. The scene is set when a group of hopeful rhymers consider chasing the music dream, until one person speaks on the elephant in the room — their lack of funds. That’s when Uncle Murda enters with his bright idea.
“Listen, y’all got the money. All you got to do is pawn your jewelry, pawn your car, pawn your bike. Take it to Pawn Rite,” he says emphatically.
