Remember when TDE promised six albums in 2014? Well, CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith never specified who would release what or when, and that becomes all too apparent with Ab-Soul‘s recent revelation.

“I turned in 2 projects last year, yea I know what your thinking, let’s see where this year takes me…,” the Black Lipped Bastard tweeted.

But his next message was much more revealing. “Industry don’t know what to do wit me lol.” And that may in fact be the case, because Ab-Soul isn’t necessarily marketable by current music industry standards.

Last year, the MC was set to release a collaborative album with JMSN called Unit 6, however their management couldn’t see eye to eye, so the project was ultimately shelved. But perhaps it will finally see the light of day with Ab-Soul’s words.

We do know that ScHoolboy Q will deliver his long-delayed Oxymoron LP on February 25. Check back in with Hip-Hop Wired often for more news on Ab-Soul and TDE. See Ab-Soul’s tweets on the following pages.
