Remember the Black dad who caught flack from the Internets for posting up a photo of him doing his daughter’s hair? Something similar happened to a pair of Black gay dads who posted a photo of them doting on their children, and they’ve responded to the chatter as well.

Black gay dads Kordale, a Chicago native, and Kaleb, of Atlanta, are the proud fathers of three little girls. A photo posted by their pair on their Instagram account of the doting daddies getting two of their children prepared for school went viral. Although they received a lot of positive feedback, more than a few people lashed out with homophobic and racist insults.

All of the negative comments have since been deleted and instead, Kordale and Kaleb have been showered with support from the Instagram community. And based on a statement from the couple, they don’t intend to let the words of a few anonymous haters stop them from chronicling the devotion they have for their children.

From Huffington Post’s Gay Voices:

As far as the positive; yes we are two gay men with three kids who have no problem with preparing them for their education every morning; that comes with anything and everything they may need for school! Our kids are blessed to have three parents (Kordale, Kaleb and their Mother) who love, care and support them in every decision they have made and will continue to make as they get older.

In regard to the negative, people fail to realize that we are people too with kids who love us. We do what is necessary for them to succeed in this ever-changing world but it’s sad that we’re discriminated against because of our sexuality and/or what we do behind closed doors — which is no one’s business.
