Thanks to Love & Hip Hop New York, Peter Gunz has become infamous for his infidelity. But the Bronx rapper first came to Hip-Hop fame thanks to his smash hit “Uptown (Deja Vu),” and during his run as a rap heavyweight he was rolling with NBA star and part time rapper Shaquille O’Neal. We asked Gunz if Shaq took advantage of his alleged ghostwriting skills and about the groupies that came with rap and basketball fame.

“He’s the best athlete in that world to rap, and the most respected,” Gunz told Hip-Hop Wired about the NBA legend who has platinum albums on his resume. “When you look at Shaq, Shaq did records with Biggie, Rakim, Jay Z, Nas, Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz, Big Pun, Fat Joe Prodigy and Mobb Deep; he’s done records with credible artists and it ain’t about money with them… They ain’t doing records with anybody that’s totally garbage.”

Word. See Shaq’s “You Can’t Stop The Reign,” featuring the Notorious B.I.G. and “No Hooks,” featuring Method Man and RZA, if you don’t believe Mr. Pankey. But for now, watch Gunz speak more about Shaq the MC and those groupie tales in our exclusive video below.
