When KRS-One famously said that “Brooklyn keeps on taking it,” he probably didn’t mean to forecast this next story. A trio of hooded armed robbers are being sought in the borough after they knocked over a liquor store and stole over $50,000 in alcohol, lotto tickets, cash and more.

The incident took place after midnight on January 20 at the Willmohr Liquor and Wine store. According to reports, the men reportedly asked the cashier if the place sold liquor then brandished their weapons and ordered everyone inside to lay on the floor. The thieves managed to make off with $45,000 worth of booze, $3,000 worth of lottery scratch tickets, $510 in cash, and a pair of cellphones valued at $1,110.

Police also say the robbers tied up the store employee and others inside the store using duct tape, although it wasn’t reported if anyone was harmed. After grabbing the goods and cash, the group then fled on foot.

With the help of surveillance video taken at the store, the NYPD is on the lookout for a man in his 20s, 5’10”, 160 pounds, wearing blue pants, a black hooded jacket, multi-colored sneakers and a black hat; a man in his 20s, 5’9″, 160 pounds, wearing a black hooded jacket and jeans; and a man in his 20s, 5’10” and 160 pounds.
