Where as his defensive counterpart Richard Sherman is more talkative on-and-off the field than a drug dealer on A&E, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch continues to be antithesis when it comes to verbal communication with reporters. His noncooperation was sound profound in fact, he was fined $50K by the NFL at the top of January for not giving the Seattle media anything to work with.
The league said they would rescind the fine if Lynch met his obligations contractually and publicly. So far, he’s been fulfilling said obligations with the smallest effort humanly possible.

In a statement before Tuesday’s media session, the Pro Football Writers of America said it was “extremely disappointed in the lack of meaningful access” to Lynch at media day. The PFWA added that several “long-standing and high-profile members were appalled by Mr. Lynch’s conduct and refusal to answer any questions.”
The organization also called the statement by the league that Lynch participated Tuesday “an affront to our membership,” but added that it was “encouraged” that the NFL would continue to monitor the situation.
The Associated Press had dubbed the powerful running back “Least Mode” for his one-word responses, a play on his “Beast Mode” nickname.
Today’s Marshawn Media Day appearance was brought to you in part by the Dave Chappelle’s “Wrap It Up Box,” as all the star running back did was watch the clock. After his obligatory seven minutes was up, he was positioned himself in between several New Jersey State Police and was on his merry way.
