Rick Ross is constantly reminding us he’s the kingpin of any lane he chooses to rap about, and his most recent act of philanthropy actually made it a tale of nonfiction.

This past Thursday, January 30, he was back home in Miami as he was joined by a couple other hometown heroes in Uncle Luke and Trina as they bowled at former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers’ C.A.T.C.H. 84 Foundation’s annual, “Strikes For Scholarships” event.

The gutter gala took place at Miami’s Lucky Strikes located at 1691 Michigan Ave. and the Maybach Music CEO used his celebrity for the greater good of higher learning.

Trading in his custom Luc Belaire black bottles for another dark alcoholic beverage as Hennessy Black sponsored the festivities, Ricky Rozay basked in the camera’s flashing lights and even received a Mastermind cake in a pre-celebration ceremony for his upcoming sixth studio album to be released on March 4.

Former Miami Dolphin O. J. McDuffie, former New York Jet David Clowney and Major League Lacrosse player Chazz Woodson were also in attendance.

Afterwards, a toast of Hennessy Black was indeed in order for the event raised $15K, not only for Chambers’ cause but the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County as well.

Flip through the galleria for pictures of the event. It’s always welcomed to see rappers (and athletes) on the right side of the news.
