Last night (February 5), 2 Chainz invaded New York City for his “2 Good to be T.R.U.” He had a surprise in store for attendees, as he invited hometown rapper French Montana to the stage to perform an unreleased track titled, “A-Rod.”

As you can see, the song plays on the controversy surrounding MLB’s investigation of Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez’s performance enhancement drug use. “Running through the park like I’m A-Rod/ Walking through the park like I’m A-Rod/ Smoking through that strong, that’s that steroid,” the Hair Weave Killer chants emphatically on the chorus.

The catchy hook is juxtaposed by a hard hitting beat. At the moment, there’s no word on whose project “A-Rod” will land on. Coincidentally (or not), 2 Chainz announced that he was working on B.O.A.T.S. III yesterday.
