The paradigm of New York City Hip-Hop is shifting. That you cannot deny after listening to rising artists like Al-Doe, who debuted a new EP titled Keys of Heaven.

Premiered by Mass Appeal, the collection features seven tracks. Al-Doe is very much from the school of true NYC lyricists, though his sound significantly differ. Sonically, he’s far from southern. Instead, he seems to favor ambient production that matches his street savvy approach to emceeing. Being born and raised in the Bronx probably has something to do with his lyrical style and affinity for coke talk.

Chase N Cashe and Crystal Caines (A$AP Ferg’s “Lord’ and “100 Million Roses) are among the producers who shaped the soundscape on Keys Of Heaven. Tune into Uptown’s own Al-Doe below. Also be sure to check out NYC clothing line Noir Winners for a limited edition collab T-shirt made to promote the project.

Let us know what you think of the newcomer in the comments.
