Despite being one of Hip-Hop music’s greatest lyricists of all time, Nas doesn’t have a single Grammy award to his name. However, the Queensbridge rapper isn’t worrying over that fact.
Nas was asked about the snub—he has 13 Grammy nominations—during a screening and panel at the Paley Center for Media for VH1’s forthcoming The Tanning Of America documentary.
“I like that the Grammys nominated me,” Nas said, reports Page Six, “I know the hugest platform for music is the Grammys, it matters . . . but something that huge is never gonna get it right. So it’s OK. It gives me the opportunity to wear a nice suit on a red carpet.”
