Chuck Inglish is quietly killing it with each new release from his upcoming Convertibles album. Following a track called “Legs,” the Cool Kid spitter remains true to form on the soulful Chance The Rapper-assisted “Glam.”

Let us begin by saying that this mellow cut would be a Neo-Soul record if not for the verses from the aforementioned MCs. The Midwest lyricists flex thought provoking rhymes that match the song’s aesthetic. This includes Chance’s chants that, “God loves all my n***as.”

Inglish’s snarling 808 and synth-heavy production is substituted with live instrumentation, making this song a fresh listen for longtime fans. The familiar combination of horns and vocal riffs from an unnamed songstress sound like Nico Segal and Macie Stewart of former Chicago band Kids These Days, which wouldn’t be surprising given their affiliation with Chance.

Convertibles releases April 8, and features guest appearances Sir Michael Rocks, Action Bronson, Mac Miller, Ab-Soul, Vic Mensa, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more. Also be on the lookout for a new Cool Kids project. Stream “Glam” below.
