Another bracket buster went down as no. 3 seed Duke lost to no. 14 seed Mercer 78 – 71. Of course, the impending and ongoing slander has the Internets (read: Twitter & Vine.)
While brackets of most basketball fans are surely in shambles, the joy of seeing the divisive Duke basketball program down make it almost worth it.
Daniel Coursey scored 17 points and Mercer pulled off the biggest upset in the NCAA tournament so far by knocking off Duke 78-71.
Jakob Gollon added 20 points for the 14th-seeded Bears (27-8).
The Atlantic Sun champions — the same league that produced 2013 tournament darling Florida Gulf Coast — shot 56 percent.
The Bears were simply too much for a Duke team with stars Jabari Parker and Rodney Hood.
Shortly after the upset the talk of the Internets quickly became a white Mercer guard Kevin Canevari hitting the Nae Nae dance with a mean flourish (he got his ankles broken something awful during the game, though). Meanwhile, another player did the robot while the coach was getting interviewed. Also, struggle faces abounded.
