Things took a turn for the worse for Migos, who were reportedly involved in a shooting in Miami, during the early morning hours of today, March 28. One person was shot in the leg.

According to Miami Herald, the “Versace” rap trio were en route to their South Beach hotel on I-95 when a dark vehicle pulled aside of them and began opening fire. Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Sanchez gave an account of the incident, which occurred after a Migos performance at Cafe Iguana nightclub in Pembroke Pines was cancelled after some sort of near-violent disagreement between management and an unnamed party. But rather than engage in confrontation, the Georgia natives left the premises in their Mercedes van.

Some time after 3:30 a.m. the car containing eight people were unexpectedly under gunfire, though someone armed in the van is said to have returned shots.

According to Sanchez, the victim’s injury is non-life threatening and they’re currently recovering in Jackson Memorial Hospital. It’s unclear if authorities were referencing a member of Migos or someone from their camp.

Police have confiscated the van, which was riddled with bullets, as evidence, and are looking for the shooters. Check in with Hip-Hop Wired as updates become readily available
