CyHi The Prynce delivered a video treatment for his Black Hystori Project standout track, “3:16.”

The G.O.O.D. Music affiliate plays a pastor clad in black clergy attire, complete with a gold Jesus piece, in the clip. CyHi thumbs through biblical metaphors over a moving melody that samples Ahmad Jamal’s “Swahililand,” infamously ripped to shreds by the late J. Dilla. With that instrumental in tow, the rapper waxes poetics about making it out of the hood. He also bigs up the Big Guy up top in the process.

A list of thought provoking tracks like this rest in the framework of Cyhi’s underrated Black Hystori Project, which listeners can download here.
