Late last month, Hip-Hop mourned the death of Uncle Junebug, an animated OG who was real life kin to Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger. Today, the Dogg Pound cousins debuted “We’ll Miss U” as a tribute to their uncle.
Entertaining quotes from the smooth 70-year-old bookend the record, which features a soothing instrumental and a heartfelt chorus. In true West Coast fashion, Snoop and Daz pay homage to a man who had a profound effect on their lives with verses that detail their respective experiences with him.
Uncle Junebug passed away after losing a long battle with colon cancer. But his memory lives on in the hearts of Snoop and Daz’s fans.
