For as long as we can remember, Pharrell Williams has been the man behind hit after hit, having collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business today. On Sunday night (April 13), the super producer and musical genius stepped out from behind the curtains to tell all in an intimate one-on-one with the one and only Oprah Winfrey.

During the in-depth conversation, which aired on Oprah Prime, Skateboard P spoke about his chart-topping song “Happy,” fatherhood and recent marriage to Helen Lasichanh. Apart from also discussing his new album, G I R L, and being nominated for an Oscar for Despicable Me 2, Pharrell shared with viewers the cause for his success.

“I think it was my environment, my natural propensities, and then thirdly and most importantly – the people that I attribute most of my success to – are those people who recognize those propensities in me,” he told Oprah.

A very moving portion of the interview is demonstrated when Pharrell was brought to tears by all of the “Happy” videos from people across the globe. A truly humbling moment worth taking in.
