The wide disconnect within the Wu-Tang Clan seems to become more apparent each week. Recently, the RZA stated he is unclear why Raekwon has yet to participate on their new album.

In a recent interview with VladTV, While promoting his latest film endeavor Brick Mansions, The Abbott addressed the recent Breakfast Club interview where Rae pointed to poor business dealings as the reason why he has yet to add to A Better Tomorrow.

“Raekwon has not been participating with that particular record. I haven’t had a chance to really talk to him about why not. All I see is the press going back and forth. But I would say that maybe creatively we on different paths. I’m creatively different than I was in the ‘90s” he added.

The RZA also gave an update on the secret Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album. “It’s gonna be many offers. It’s a lot of offers coming in,” he said. “But more than offers coming in, there’s more people responding to the artistic nature of it. A lot of my peers in big places are sending me emails like ‘Great idea. Perfect idea. World-changing idea.’ And that’s the goal. So, it’s not about the money. It was more about music being devalued. And us mistaking what it means to us. Music chronicles time. It captures a moment.”

In March The Abbott announced that they have received offers up to 5 million dollars for 31 track effort. It is reported that Once Upon A Time In Shaolin will be housed in a hand carved nickel-silver box designed by British-Moroccan artist Yahya.
