Houston Middle School Teacher Charged For Giving Student Birthday Lap Dance
A 42-year-old Houston middle school teacher faces federal charges for giving one of her students a birthday lap dance. Felicia A. Smith had no comment when she walked out of a courtroom last Thursday (April 25).
She posted $30,000 bond.
Smith gave the alleged butt-to-genitalia performance in February at the Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School. The ordeal went down while fellow students watched and encouraged the 15-year-old youngster to take the seat of doom.
She has not been fired from the school. “A criminal charge of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student has been filed against a Stovall Middle School teacher,” the school said in a statement. “The charge was filed by Aldine Independent School District Police, who investigated the case along with the campus administration. The teacher was removed from the campus during the investigation and has not returned. The district takes this allegation seriously and is fully cooperating with prosecutors. The safety and security of our students will continue to be a top priority in Aldine ISD.”
The entire incident was caught on video surveillance. Prosecutors say that Smith even told the student she loved him during the “full contact” dance, and the youngster slapped her backside.
