Wyclef Jean clearly does things when the mood strikes, because he returns today with a visual for “April Showers” from his 2013 mixtape of the same title. The track features Troy Ave, as well as the former Fugees’ artist Sedeck.

Spring rain is far from the angle on this catchy track, as Wyclef and company attend a funeral. As you can imagine, the mood is somber, but the songwriter takes us back to what brought us to that scene. The story follows a young street hustler who rises the ranks and in turn ample drugs to turn into profit. We’ve seen how this story goes, but there’s a point when things defer from the usual script.

Hezues R directed the treatment.
