Snoop Dogg is a Hip-Hop legend, but he’s tried his hands at all sorts of music. Nearly a year after he embodied the Rastafarian lifestyle as Snoop Lion, the West Coast MC treads the line between the Blues and Gospel on “Let’s Go Get Stoned.”

Call the track blasphemous if you want, but it’s past entertaining. Credit that to instrumentalist and producer Terrace Martin (it’s actually his song), who crafted the record’s lush sonics. Songstress Tone Trezure also assists with some soulful vocals. The end result is a vibe that almost mirrors Ray Charles’ formula.

“Let’s Go Get Stoned” will appear on Martin’s forthcoming 3ChordFold Pulse project, due to release May 20. Hear OG Snoop D-O-G-G and company delivers a good word below. Give us your thoughts in the comments.
