“He’s always been a strong little dude, he’s like my little brother. I kinda raised Shawty…”

Young Jeezy, the south’s resident snowman and your favorite trapper’s favorite trapper, is preparing for the summer release of his fourth studio album, Thug Motivation 103.

In between celebrating his impending success, Jeezy’s speaking on his longtime friend and collaborator, producer Shawty Redd.

As previously reported Redd was arrested for the murder of a Detroit man on New Year’s Day. He is currently behind bars and maintains his innocence citing self defense.

Jeezy recently spoke on Redd and tells MTV that the two are practically family, deeming him his “Dr.Dre.”

According to Jeezy, Thug Motivation wouldn’t be complete without tracks from the “Who Dat” hit maker.

He’s always been a strong little dude, he’s like my little brother. I kinda raised Shawty…but as far as him being my little brother, he’s always gonna be in my prayers, and I’mma ride with him. He’s incredible with what he do. He’s like my Dr. Dre. I couldn’t do a Thug Motivation album without Shawty Redd. So best believe, know, he’s on that album. Real talk.”

Jeezy also made sure to give an update on Shawty Redd saying,

“I had us before; I got him now. He’s not able to be here with us through the duration, but he’s here with us in spirit. Better believe he’s calling every day, like, ‘What’s going on? How we lookin’?’ I’m talking to him or his people. He’s good. Shawty is holding his head.”

Jeezy recently dropped his latest track from TM 103, “Lose My Mind” featuring Plies. The goon and the snowman collaborate for a street anthem that serves as a warm-up to the bangers Jeezy’s sure to deliver.
