The unsolved disappearance of five New Jersey boys more than 30 years ago has come to an end.

Police have Lee Evans and Philander Hampton in custody for the 1978  murders of 17-year-old Randy Johnson, 18-year-old Melvin Pittman, 18-year-old Ernest Taylor, 17-year-old Alvin Taylor and 17-year-old Michael McDowell.

According to investigators Lee Evans (Left) confessed to the crime to the brother of Ernest Taylor, Roger Taylor, 18 months ago.

Evans admitted to murdering the boys with Hampton by tying them up inside a building and setting it on fire, burning them alive. He says he and Hampton killed the boys after they suspected them of stealing marijuana.

Police never found the boy’s remains and continued to consider it a missing person’s case.

Evans was previously questioned by police but took a lie detector test and passed clearing his name from the case.

The suspects are being held on $5 million bail each.

SMH….it’s a shame these men got away with this for this long.

Let’s hope they enjoy the rest of  their lives  behind bars.
