Jagged Edge, ATL’s resident super group of Brian, Brandon, Kyle and Wingo, is relishing in their success after being honored for their achievements in music.

The group was honored Thursday at the World Music And Dance Awards with a lifetime achievement award.

The group was given the esteemed honor for their “achievement in shaping, molding, and inspiring up and coming R&B Artist for their continuous success throughout their entire career.”

Alongside the innovators in rhythm and blues, the late Michael Jackson was also honored at last night’s ceremony, receiving a lifetime achievement award for his undeniable contributions and in influence music.

In attendance to see Jagged Edge accept their award was Lisa Raye, Omar Gooding, Cuba Gooding Jr., and John Legend.

Before receiving the honor, the group caught up with HipHopWired for an exclusive interview, dishing out details on their upcoming album, The Remedy.  According to Brandon the album will be an exploration of freedom they feel at their new home of Slip-N-Slide Records.

“We got Brian Michael Cox on there….Drumma Boy….we produce a bunch of songs. We got our own producers on the album, Gorilla Tech, a wide variety of producers. Being at Slip and Slide you do have a little more freedom as far as branching out and reaching out to other producers so that’s been fun so far.”

Their The Remedy album has yet to receive an official release date.
