“Black has something about him, it’s kinda like the boy next door kind of thing…”

With the help and guidance of D.C.’s own Wale, an up and coming rapper from the DMV is stepping out into the spotlight.

Rapper Black Cobain of northern Virginia is set to make a television appearance tonight on BET’s The Deal.

If his name sounds familiar, it’s because he appeared on a recent song with Wale and fellow DMV representative Fat Trel for “Who Don’t.”

When HipHopWired spoke with Wale, he told us that he feels entitled to help people from his area with their burgeoning rap careers. He also gave props to Cobain, deeming him a humble version of the “boy next door.”

“I think it’s still time to get people to where they want to go with their career. It’s really important to me. Black has something about him, it’s kinda like the boy next door kind of thing. He thinks a lot, very spiritual dude, very humble. I just appreciate what he brings to the table. “

Be on the lookout for the rest of HipHopWired’s interview with Wale and check out Black Cobain on BET’s The Deal tonight at 3 a.m.
