The shocking story of the 7-year-old Trenton, New Jersey girl that was allegedly gang raped by seven men with the help of her sister is taking a shocking new twist now that her stepfather is jumping to the defense of the accused.

The girl’s stepfather whose identity is being withheld says that three men arrested for the crime are completely innocent—-19-year-old Timear Lewis, a 17-year-old whom authorities have not identified because of his age and 20-year-old Gregory Joseph Leary.

According to the stepdad, the three of the men tried to rescue his daughter but were held back at gunpoint.

20-year-old Leary’s bail has been set at $500,000.

Leary, is accused of participating in the rape and endangering the welfare of a child. Police also say he had sex with the girl’s 15-year-old sister that night.

Leary’s attorney Robin Lord has since entered a statement in her client’s defense saying,

“She was not raped, was not gang-raped. I’m 100 percent certain that the 7-year-old was not sexually assaulted. The allegations will not be substantiated by any forensic evidence.”

She also adds,

“These boys are victims of their own hormones.”

Police maintain that they have DNA evidence to prove that the young girl was sexually violated.
