The Roots aren’t holding back other forms of content as their …and then you shoot your cousin LP is only days away from releasing. Today, the legendary band offered up a visual for “Understand.”

This marks The Roots’ second claymation treatment, following “When The People Cheer.” The symbolism runs rampant, as Ben Franklin’s face can be seen on an one hundred dollar bill that’s tailored by origami. He occupies a spooky church that mass produces coffins and communion wine. The captivating scenes are brought together by Dice Raw’s chorus: “People ask for God/ ’til the day He come/ see God face, turn around and run/ God sees the face…of a man/ shakes his head and says ‘Man’ll never understand.'”
