Free advice to high school sports stars: don’t pull a gun on anyone, especially a cop. Marquise Bryant is now aware of this because the running back, who had committed to the University of South Florida, was sentenced to 215 days in jail for the very offense.

Reports TMZ Sports:

18-year-old Bryant got into a fist fight with a police officer who had confronted him in a parking lot … and was eventually taken down by a police dog.

Now, we’ve learned Bryant struck a plea deal with prosecutors in which he agreed to plead no contest to carrying a concealed weapon and violently resisting an officer — and in exchange he was sentenced to 215 days in jail.

He was also ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and got 2 years probation.

No word on whether or not Bryant still has a his scholarship offer to USF, but we wouldn’t bank on it, though.

Check out his full mugshot on the flip.
