#Whoa Hashtag Spotlights Hilarious Pause-Worthy Moments [VIDEO]

With a jheri curl in tow, crooner Dennis Edwards sang his way into our hearts with some assistance from singer-songwriter Siedah Garrett on “Don’t Look Any Further” back in 1984. The cut has since been sampled to create classic Hip-Hop records, but social media platform Vine may be responsible for an even greater appropriation of the tune.

Within the last 24 hours or so, users have attached hilarious clips of Edwards singing a single word — “whoa” — to infamous pause-worthy moments, celebrity sound bites, and more. The end result is a heightening pool of joyous tears of laughter. Needless to say that the accompanying #whoa hashtag can go viral at any moment.

Yes, this trend is a bit immature, but honestly, who cares. Laugh a little.

If you’re anything like me, this gallery of the best #whoa Vine videos to date will have you in stitches. We’ve included the original music of Edwards and Garrett below for context.
