Millions of Instagram users were baffled yesterday (May 27), when the social media service went down without any notification. Thankfully, Twitter was up-and-running with jokes and parodies to make fun of Facebook’s picture sharing site.
With plenty of people locked out from being able to upload pictures of their bling, their dogs, or their Starbucks order, Instagram was forced to apologize to users after being outed on Twitter by complaints. According to many on the site, Instagram was believed to have experienced server issues, and went down for around an hour from 4:30PM EST.
As plenty of IG fans lamented the lost of their ability to like and distribute duck faces, Twitter was right on time turning the downtime into a chance for complaints and parody. With nothing else better to do, we spotlight the best Twitter reactions to IG being shut down yesterday.
