A dad in Maryland found out that his 15-year-old daughter’s 42-year-old teacher was sending her text messages he deemed inappropriate, and took matters into his own hands. The dad grabbed a bat and hit the teacher over the head.
Officers from the Baltimore County Police Dept. were called to the family’s home at around 3 a.m. last Thursday (June 5), after the mother found the text messages on her daughter’s phone. Authorities determined that there was “an emotional relationship that seemed inappropriate for a teacher and student.”
However nothing within the text messages broke any laws, according to Baltimore County police spokesperson Elise Armacost said.
It could’ve ended without injury but the teacher just wouldn’t leave well enough alone.
Later in the day, he showed up at the family home to speak with the girl’s father. He refused to leave so the dad hit him over the head with a bat. Police were called right back to the residence but no one was arrested.
The teacher sustained only minor injuries from the hit. Neither he, nor the dad, will face criminal charges.
