Kidd Cole, the D.C. rapper who was shamelessly exposed as con artist on a recent episode of MTV’s Catfish, may not totally be embellishing his ties to the music industry. Kind of, sort of.
Lil Mo made a startling revelation via her Instagram page that the bum MC is actually her stepson, as he’s the biological kid of her ex-husband Gus Stone.
Big shoutout to MY “estranged” SON!! @colepushaz! i cannot sit here and LOL and point fingers at a young man that has the SAME FATHER as my daughters heaven and Godiss love,” she announced. “I saw the MTV special “Catfish” and my heart was saddened.”
There was nothing “special” about Cole’s, real name Jerez Coleman, 19, episode on the popular reality documentary, save for the fact it was one of the few non romatic installments. It featured a Philadelphia woman who had been duped by Coleman for thousands of dollars as it was uncovered that he had a long history of doing it. He had even went as far as namedropping the likes of Kanye West, Wale and RZA as names in the business that he had worked with. He has a scheduled court appearance in August to answer for some of his transgressions, but according to Lil Mo, it’s not his fault.
“I laughed at first because i was like “heaven ya brother on TV”. BUT the fact is, i literally saw this YOUNG MAN raise HIMSELF!!,” she continued. “His grandmother helped. but he wasn’t her responsibility. numerous payments was sent to the child support account. that I paid out of my pocket. he was raised without a “YOU know what” !! in these streets, get it how you LIVE IT!! he is NOT a bad guy. he needs guidance. i truly hope he makes his way in the music industry. which is way more cruel than the real world. ps iLove you Jerez!! never give up ok!! love always, MOm #sorryIhadtoBEhumanTHISonce #backtoBEINGanALIEN”
In a fairly recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Lil Mo (real name ) says she figure Stone was cheating when they were engaging in a threesome with another woman and he didn’t appear to be too surprised when it came to the chemistry with here. Hence the shade thrown at Stone concerning the matter.
Whether the reason, there are a few pics in the gallery that you should familiarize yourself with so you know who not to do business with if you’re in the D.C. area.
