All 90s baby music fans can attest to the impact that MTV’s Total Request Live had on their experience as a youth. For ten frenzied years (1998-2008), the world’s most talked about countdown mixed pop sensations like N’Sync and the Backstreet Boys with Hip-Hop legends such as Eminem and Outkast for a mainstream buffet of what represented the current landscape of the industry.

And for one night only, MTV is bringing back its treasured show for an artist who undoubtedly would have been in the mix had it went the distance past a decade.

Next Wednesday, July 2, MTV will the 30-minute “Total Ariana Live” for 20-year-old starlet Ariana Grande, reports the Associated Press. Since releasing her #1 Billboard #1 Yours Truly, Grande has collaborated with numerous rappers including Big Sean and Mac Miller and amassed 16 million Twitter followers, making her the perfect TRL candidate. Her recently released “Problem” currently sits at #2 in the country, and also stars another Hip-Hop personality in Iggy Azalea.

If the fever Grande caused in her latest performance at 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards (MMVA) in Toronto can transcend over to Total Request Live, MTV may want to reconsider bringing it back in this routine capacity for artists that are buzzing.

“Total Ariana Live” will air next Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST. Check out the pictures in the gallery below of Ariana’s aforementioned Toronto concert.
