The legendary Queens-bred rap group Lost Boyz has decided to re-emerge on the scene with a new album.

The untitled album is in the works, but to show fans that it is official, The Lost Boys have released the single “Haaay” and promise fans that the new album will be worth the wait.

Lost Boys- “Haaay”

Lost Boyz front-man Mr. Cheeks stated,

“It’s LB fam no matter what. We’re still here, still trendsetting, still holding things down and making hot music. We represent that lost society of cats that didn’t think that they could do it. Now, we’re coming back to the ring.”

The Lost Boyz, who have been on hiatus since 2001, took a break after group member Freakey Tah was gunned down in the streets of Queens in 1999. The group released the last album featuring Tah, Lost Boyz IV Life, to commemorate Tah’s memory.

During the hiatus, the group experienced another blow after fellow emcee Spigg Nice was sentenced to 37 years for an armed robbery charge in 2004.

Although the group has added two new members, Dramatic Da DJ and Black Smoke to the group which includes Mr. Cheeks and Pretty Lou, they want fans to rest assure that they will still experience the classic Lost Boyz vibe.

In addition to releasing new material this year, the group has also been featured in Forever K. Michael Collection’s new advertising campaign, “From Day, Till Dark,” which pays tribute to artists who inspired the company’s founder, Khristian Michael.

“The Lost Boyz remind me of a timeless entity, when something isn’t trendy, it never goes out of style,” Khristian Michael said.  “Their sound and energy has continued to resonate in their fans over a decade, and that’s what I’m looking to achieve with the new campaign—as well as the entire collection.”
