My how the tables have turned. Rapper Meek Mill closes a week of both positive and negative headlines behind bars.

Yes you read that right. According to Philly.com, Meek will serve three to six months behind bars due to a parole violation. “Sir, I didn’t want to do this but you made me do this,” said Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley, who continued, “After all the years I tried to get you on the right track.”

The MMG rapper and his lawyer Gary Silver spent nearly four hours pleading with the judge. But it’s being reported that Brinkley was concerned with some of Meek’s recent activity, which includes posting a picture of himself with a gun on Instagram. And there was also the business of him booking shows between July 11 and August 11 after the judge asked that he sit tight during that time as he attempted to resolve his probation woe.

There’s, of course, two sides of a story, and Meek has been rather candid about the Philadelphia courts looking for a reason to detain him.

After news broke, Karen Civil chimed in with an update from Meek’s team. “Meek Mill will be released in 3/4 weeks.. Not months per his team,” she wrote on Twitter.

Nevertheless, it appears that Meek Mill will be spending some time in jail. Share your thoughts in the comments.
